Over the last 5+ years, I have been a recurring motion design collaborator for Casetify, a Hong Kong-based company known for customised phone cases and electronic accessories.
        /WORK

The work spans motion design, visual development, and storyboard frames across a wide range of IP collaborations including Pokémon, DragonBall Z, BTS, One Piece, Peanuts, and more.

Casetify × DragonBall Z™

Concept · Design · Animation · Sound
May, 2025 The brief was to introduce Casetify's Dragon Ball Z collaboration — showcasing the special edition cases while staying true to the spirit of the series. The visual direction draws from the iconic DBZ intro: deep space, drifting stars, and the dragon balls in motion. A key moment in the piece recreates the 'Spine Art' effect from the manga box set, arranging the cases to reveal the full artwork across the sequence (0:02–0:04). Anime-style FX carry the transitions throughout, and traditional cel energy runs through the whole piece.

Casetify Case Customisation

Concept · Design · Animation
February, 2026 This video was a brief motion graphic section <20 seconds in length, sitting within a larger, live-action video. The ask was to visualise what it means to print your Instagram feed onto a phone case: taking something digital and giving it physical weight.

The visual treatment is rooted in analog nostalgia. Paper cutouts, low frame-rate motion, and a print-and-scan workflow give the animation a raw, handmade quality. Deliberately lo-fi in a way that feels personal rather than produced. The shaky, imperfect movement echoes the idea that everyone is a content creator, and that those moments are worth holding onto.

Glaze Case for iPhone 17

September, 2025 The brief was to launch Casetify's Glaze Cases for iPhone 17, a collection of over 60 prints spanning motifs, typography, and image-based designs. The challenge was to present the sheer volume of the collection without it feeling like a catalogue.

The visual approach centres on 3D phone mockups set against rich, rainbow-gradient backgrounds, letting the colour of each case drive the energy of each frame. The result is dense but controlled: a rapidly moving showcase that feels celebratory rather than overwhelming, mirroring the variety and vibrancy of the collection itself.

Casetify X Peanuts™

Concept · Design · Animation · Sound
January, 2022
The Peanuts x Casetify collaboration called for something that felt aesthetically playful. The motion direction leans into a child-like energy, keeping the characters loose and the pacing light, letting Snoopy, Woodstock, Lucy, and the rest of the gang feel at home in the piece. The limited edition cases are colourful and expressive enough to carry the video on their own, so the approach was to get out of the way and let them.

Casetify X Kunel Gaur

Kunel Gaur is an artist whose style revolves around brutalism in design. The plan for the videos was to do justice to his artworks and perfectly capture that aesthetic. The mechanical motion design elements used in the video complement Kunel's style perfectly and showcase the raw, industrial feel he is known for.


Back in 2021, Kunel reached out with a simple brief : Casetify is launching a set of cases with his designs, can we do a video to promote the collection?

I explored some motion directions ranging from playful to sharp match cut animations, but nothing felt quite right until I pivoted to thinking of the objects moving mechanically rather than being overly animated.         
                 



Continuing on the already established idea of mechanical movement, I worked on this video which served as a promo for Macbook sleeves with Kunel’s designs.

Casetify offers their customers a plain canvas with a wide range of customization choices from custom text to monogram and show the world what CASETiFY is all about - bold, energetic, and unapologetically fun! In the video, we show how every letter, from A to Z, has its place in the fully customisable phone cases they offer.         
                 




The Powerpuff Girls™ x Casetify
Visual & Motion Design
June, 2023


Hero motion graphic video for the Powerpuff Girls x Casetify collaboration. The visual language draws directly from the series, incorporating iconic elements and animations that fans of the show will recognise instantly. The opening steak sequence, a direct nod to the original PPG intro, sets the tone early and anchors the piece in the world of the show. From there, the energy stays high, with character-inspired motion and transitions carrying the collection through to the end.





Being a frequent collaborator, I have worked on a number of other promo videos with Casetify.
This includes promos for their collaborations with Pokemon, Sorayama, One Piece, the k-pop band BTS among a few others.
